"A good test of the current models of interactions among phonons in solids can be made if the frequency, linewidth and symmetry of at least one of the interacting phonons can be changed at will. We discuss the advantages of experiments with light scatering by oblique phonons and oblique polaritons for investigation of interference effects, showing observations in [BaTiO3]".
