'The infrared spectrum of three diethyl benzenes has been observed in the region from two to forty microns. Different infrared spectrographs were used and absorption curves are given for the different regions. A Tentaive semi-emprirical, assigment of the observed frequences to the molecular vibrations is given."
Untitled"Some infrared bands of [CH2F2] and CH2ClF have been observed in the near infrared (PbS region). For all observed bands of both molecules, the [RQ] and [RQ] branches have been resolved and the molecular [A-1/2(B+C] determined. For one [type -C] band of [CH2F2], [PP] and [RR] branches were resolved, and for this molecule, the [1/2 (B+C)] molecular constant was determined. From these parameters the molecular dimensions were calculated. The [2.219u] band of [CH2F2] presents an aysmmetric shape in the strong, unresolved [Q] branch, and it is shown that this asymmetry is due to the fact that [CH2F2] molecule is a slightly asymmetrial top".
